EM 13c: Successful Upgrade from Enterprise Manager 12c to 13c Results in log4j Errors in the Upgrade Session (Doc ID 2099267.1)

Symptoms

 After successful completion of OMS upgrade of Enterprise Manager (EM) 12c to 13c, the following errors are seen in the upgrade session:

Export config of OMS is successful.

log4j:ERROR A "org.apache.log4j.RollingFileAppender" object is not assignable to a "org.apache.log4j.Appender" variable.
log4j:ERROR The class "org.apache.log4j.Appender" was loaded by
log4j:ERROR [java.net.URLClassLoader@d0e973b] whereas object of type
log4j:ERROR "org.apache.log4j.RollingFileAppender" was loaded by [sun.misc.Launcher$AppClassLoader@523ce3f].
log4j:ERROR Could not instantiate appender named "logAppender".
log4j:WARN No appenders could be found for logger (emctl.secure.oms.AdminCredsWalletUtil).
log4j:WARN Please initialize the log4j system properly.
Object is = 4
2016-01-14_05-30-59PM: Configuration Assistant "Start Oracle Management Service" has Succeeded.
