The customer has a Single-Instance Oracle Databases (SIDB) with a standby database and they are converting the databases to One Node RAC systems using the Converting Single-Instance Oracle Databases to Oracle RAC and Oracle RAC One Node procedure.
Log in to Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control. From the Home page, click the Targets tab.
On the Targets page, click the Databases secondary tab, and click the link in the Names column of the database to convert to Oracle RAC.
On the Database Instance Home page, click the Change Database secondary tab.
On the Administration page, in the Database Administration Change Database section, click Convert to Cluster Database.
Log in as the DBSNMP database user to the database you want to convert, and click Next.
Procedure hangs at this point and in the OMS logs, emoms.trc, the error output is:
ERROR command.PreConfigCommand executeCommand.228 - Step: oracle.sysman.emo.util.rconfig.PreRConfigStep@21b239d0failed. oracle.sysman.emo.config.ConfigException: Unable to get the primary database target details for this standby database "XXXXXXXX.oracle.com". Please wait until all Data Guard information has been collected from the databases before proceeding with conversion of the standby database to RAC.
