BTM Bug/ER 22952461 - When Importing a Transaction BTM Should Offer More Name Matching Options for JMS Queues/Topics (Doc ID 2117376.1)

Last updated on MARCH 16, 2016

Applies to:

APM - Application Performance Management - Version 12.1.0.7.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

In BTM 12.1.0.7.x what "rules" does BTM use when generating addresses for JMS services?

Is it possible for BTM to match up JMS queues based on a more simple form of the queue or topic?

For example, you might have two different styles of "addresses" for JMS services:

apjms://myHost:8541/JMS/CTGJMSModule!queCTGPublishSubscribe

and

apjms://myHost9:8541/JMS/jms/CTGJMSModule!queCTGPublishSubscribe

When exporting and importing a transaction from one environment to another BTM should be able to match up the names at the end of the address.

A test environment may be simple whereas a production environment may be clustered.

Can BTM do intelligent mapping on the JMS addresses?
