Symptoms

Discovery of the Oracle Database Appliance Virtualized Platform in Enterprise Manager (EM) 12c Cloud Control shows the following errors at the Step: Register Oracle Virtual Platform.

From the Error Log display in the EM Job record:

Error creating Hypervisor target. The discovery module returned the following error(s).
Script with the issue : DM_SERVER_1201
Error Message : java.lang.Exception: Method : discoverXenHypervisor : Recieved null or empty Xen version from SSH Command execution.
at oracle.sysman.vi.dmdiscovery.target.Server.discoverXenHypervisor(Server.java:180)
at oracle.sysman.vi.dmdiscovery.target.Server.main(Server.java:124)
An Error occured while executing java command. Message ERROR: Method : discoverXenHypervisor : Recieved null or empty Xen version from SSH Command execution.
