Patching an Oracle database target from Enterprise Manager (EM) Cloud Control using out-of-place patching fails with the following console error:

Insufficient space for cloning and patching Oracle Home: <database_oracle_home>. Free space of <size> Kilo Bytes is required for <staging directory>
