What are BTM Observers?
BTM Observers are Business Transaction Management components that you install into the application server of business applications you want to monitor. The observers monitor messages and calls between the components of your business applications.
What is being Deprecated?
The following BTM observers are being deprecated:
- Oracle OC4J (10.1)
- Oracle WebLogic (9.2.x)
- IBM WebSphere (6.1)
- JBoss (4.3)
- OEG (184.108.40.206)
- IIS (7.5)
In BTM 220.127.116.11.2 or any BTM release thereafter, the BTM observers listed above will no longer be supported. You will be unable to use BTM to monitor applications running in any of those environments.
What will be the replacement or workaround?
If any of the BTM observers listed in this support note are being used in your environment, there will be no alternative solution or workaround available from future Oracle BTM releases beginning with BTM Release 18.104.22.168.2.
