EM 12c: User-scheduled Backup Jobs for PDBaaS are not Removed from EM 12cR5 Job Schedule when PDB 'Expires' (Doc ID 2139424.1)

Last updated on AUGUST 29, 2016

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager for Cloud - Version 12.1.0.5.0 and later
Enterprise Manager for Oracle Database - Version 12.1.0.8.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A multitenant container database (CBD) is created outside of Enterprise Manager (EM 12.1.0.5 Cloud Control).

This CDB is used to establish a private PDBaaS pool.

A separate user provisions a pluggable database (PDB) and establishes a backup job schedule (using RMAN) for the PDB in EM 12.1.0.5.

After the PDB expires, on subsequent days, failed backup jobs (with names like 'ORCL_SUG_BACKUP_*'), which have attempted to run the backup job on the now-removed PDB, are displayed in EM 12.1.0.5 Console.
