12.1.0.5.170117 (January 17, 2017) Enterprise Manager Base Platform Patch Set Update (PSU)

What is being announced?

This note gives a brief overview of the Enterprise Manager Base Platform 12.1.0.5 Patchset Update  (PSU 12.1.0.5.170117), version 12.1.0.5.170117CC.

This PSU 12.1.0.5.170117 is an OMS patch only.

This PSU 12.1.0.5.170117 can be installed on top of Enterprise Manager Base Platform 12.1.0.5.0.

 

If you upgrade Enterprise Manager Cloud Control to 12.1.0.5 or if you do a fresh installation of Enterprise Manager Cloud Control 12.1.0.5 and select the Software Update feature (recommended),  the Installation wizard will download and apply the Enterprise Manager Base Platform 12.1.0.5 Patchset Update  (PSU160719) as part of the Installation/Upgrade.  For additional information please check the documentation:

2.1.5 What Are Software Updates?

Existing installations of Enterprise Manager Base Platform 12.1.0.5.0 require you to manually download and apply this patch.

Prerequisites

1) Ensure that you have the latest version of OPatch Release 11.1.  Oracle recommends you to use the latest version available under Patch:6880880 for 11.1.0.0.0 release.

2) Please refer to the README file in <Note 2212153.1> for full detail of prerequisites

There are no known issues at the time of release for this PSU.
