Details (January 17, 2017) Enterprise Manager Base Platform Patch Set Update (PSU)

What is being announced?

This note gives a brief overview of the Enterprise Manager Base Platform Patchset Update  (PSU, version

This PSU is an OMS patch only.

This PSU can be installed on top of Enterprise Manager Base Platform


If you upgrade Enterprise Manager Cloud Control to or if you do a fresh installation of Enterprise Manager Cloud Control and select the Software Update feature (recommended),  the Installation wizard will download and apply the Enterprise Manager Base Platform Patchset Update  (PSU160719) as part of the Installation/Upgrade.  For additional information please check the documentation:

2.1.5 What Are Software Updates?

Existing installations of Enterprise Manager Base Platform require you to manually download and apply this patch.




For installation details, please check the following document:


1) Ensure that you have the latest version of OPatch Release 11.1.  Oracle recommends you to use the latest version available under Patch:6880880 for release.

2) Please refer to the README file in <Note 2212153.1> for full detail of prerequisites


Known Issues

There are no known issues at the time of release for this PSU.


Bug Fix List - OMS Oracle Home

From Enterprise Manager Base Platform 11.1GC onwards, the PSU notes point to "bug tag" notes instead of bugs. These "bug tag" notes describe the symptoms, impact and workarounds (if any) of each bug in a comprehensive language.

PSU5 is an OMS-side only bundle.
