Symptoms

Enterprise Manager (EM) 13.2 Cloud Control

Alerts frequently generated in EM 13.2 Cloud Control: ASM closed/open and/or the pluggable database is down

Example:

Host=<HOST>
Target type=Automatic Storage Management
Target name=+ASM1_<DOMAIN>
Categories=Availability
Message=Failed to connect to ASM instance. The connection is closed: The connection is closed
Severity=Fatal


From the .../agent_inst/sysman/log/gcagent.log file:

2017-02-23 09:18:23,536 [2462280:D4687A63:GC.Executor.157819 (osm_instance:+ASM1_<DOMAIN>:Response)] INFO - Target [osm_instance.+ASM1_<DOMAIN>] is marked as in DOWN state
