Last updated on JULY 19, 2017

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager for Oracle Database - Version 13.2.1.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Provisioning a Standalone Cluster/Oracle Restart/SIHA using the following steps in Enterprise Manager (EM) 13.2 Cloud Control:

1. Deployment Procedure name : Provision Oracle Database
2. Version 12.2.0.1
3. Deploy Software and Configure
4. Do not provision Database Software
5. Configure ASM -> For some reason the AU Size for ASM Disk defaults to 4
6. After submitting the procedure ->    this fails at Executing Prerequisite checks

Here is the error message :

Command to execute : /u01/home/oracle/agent/stage/SIDB-1496235121263/gi/stage_racp/racp_prereqs/cvupack/bin/cluvfy comp sys -p ha -fixupnoexec -r 12.1 -verbose -orainv dba -asm -asmgrp dba
Exit code is : 1

Unexpected symbol "-asm". See usage for detail.

USAGE:
cluvfy comp sys [-n <node_list>|-flex -hub <hub_list> [-leaf <leaf_list>]] -p {crs|ha|database} [-r {10.1|10.2|11.1|11.2|12.1}] [-osdba <osdba_group>]
[-orainv <orainventory_group>] [-fixup]
[-fixupnoexec] [-method sudo -user <user_name> [-location <dir_path>]|-method root]
[-verbose]

However, the provisioning procedure does not stop (it is an ignorable error), but, it fails at the "Configure ASM" Step.

The output of the directive is:
