Symptoms

Enterprise Manager (EM) 13.2 Cloud Control
<Note 2272372.1> How to create Incident Rule Set to Send Email from Enterprise Manager 13c Cloud Control only for Compressed Incidents

1. Follow <Note 2272372.1> to create an incident rule set (.

2. Shut down both of the database targets running on a monitored target host.

3. Wait until the database targets shown a Down status in EM 13.2 Cloud Control.

4. Observe that a target Down alert is received for each database instead of a single compressed alert for both of the database targets.

Note 2272372.1 to simulate compression of events is not working as expected.

Multiple rules are enabled for Target Availability and the compression ruleset is also enabled and positioned so that it is listed first in the firing order.

Compress, for example, multiple database down events on a single host and the other related events (metric Alerts etc) by specifying ALL TARGETS for the ruleset.

Th EM 13.2 administrator continues to receive multiple alerts for the Target Availability DOWN events instead of one, compressed notice.
