Symptoms

Applying a patch on 11.2 DB targets from EM Console fails at pre-req step with the following error:

Performing check for CheckApplicable
Are all actions of the patch Applicable?
Check complete. The overall result of this check is: Not executed <<<<
Check complete: Not executed <<<<
Bad version number in .class file
Recommendation: Install missing components and fix/ignore non-applicable actions. Else contact Oracle support for correct patch.
