Last updated on AUGUST 26, 2020

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 12.1.0.2.0 to 13.4.1.0.0 [Release 12.1 to 13c]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

OMS has been moved / recovered / upgraded to a new server having a different hostname. The OMS / Agents are not secured with a third party signed SSL certificate.

When running the "emctl secdiag openurl" command on the Upload URL, CA details still lists the old SLB / OMS hostname:

In the above, old hostnames for SLB - slb_old.domain  ; OMS - oms_old1.domain
New hostnames - SLB - slb_new.domain ; OMS - oms_new1.domain

The certification authority details still show the old OMS hostname. Similar details will be seen for an Agent URL as well.

This document explains the cause for the same and provides steps for modifying the same, if needed.
