DataPump OEM Jobs fail with "ERROR: No data pump job named "<jobname>" exists in the database. " (Doc ID 2383074.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager for Oracle Database - Version to [Release 12.1 to 13.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Unable to run repeating DataPump export jobs against PDBs (pluggable databases) from OEM.
The scheduled jobs fail with:

  ORA-01017: invalid username/password; logon denied
  SP2-0640: Not connected
  ERROR: No data pump job named "<jobname>" exists in the database.

even though preferred credentials are set correctly and non repeating export jobs work without error.

The issue reproduces with & DB Plugin against 12.1 PDB databases.

The step by step instructions to reproduce the error are:
  - Targets -> Databases -> select a pluggable database
  - Schema -> Database Export/Import -> Export to Export files
  - Type : Schemas
     -> Step 1 select a schema, Step 2 and 3 hit next
     -> Step 4 select Start Later <date> / Repeat Interval <n>
     -> Step 5 Submit Job
  - When the job runs it will fail with:

ERROR: No data pump job named "<jobname>" exists in the database.

Scheduling jobs would work in 11.2, but not for PDB databases such as 12.1 and 12.2
