Last updated on OCTOBER 15, 2020

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 13.1.0.0.0 to 13.2.0.0.0 [Release 13c]
Oracle Database - Enterprise Edition - Version 12.2.0.1 to 12.2.0.1 [Release 12.2]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

EM 13c with 12.1.0.2 Repository Database.

After upgrading the repository database to 12.2, following query shows that SYSMAN related tables data is not upgraded.

SQL> SELECT DISTINCT owner, table_name FROM dba_tab_cols WHERE data_upgraded = 'NO' ORDER BY 1,2;
OWNER TABLE_NAME
------------------------------ ------------------------------
SYSMAN EM_NOTIFY_BLACKOUT_BACKLOG_E
SYSMAN EM_NOTIFY_REQUEUE_E

Executing of utluptabdata.sql completes successfully but the result of above query does not change.

SQL>@utluptabdata.sql
PL/SQL procedure successfully completed.

Changes

 The data upgrade is specific to RDBMS dictionary views and should be handled during the upgrade process it self. The solution is NOT specific to EM and can be found in all 12.2 database upgrade.
