Purpose

Steps for patching or upgrading a standalone database using Fleet Maintenance includes the following steps:

  1. Creating a Gold Image from the reference environment
  2. Subscribing Targets to the Selected Image
  3. Staging and Deploying the Software
  4. Migrating listener from old home to new home
  5. Updating the Database

This document covers only the failures in Step 1 - Creating Gold Image (For any Target Type Patching or Upgrade) - When the command: emcli createSoftwareImage fails to properly execute, the error is logged in <EM_INSTANCE_BASE>/em/EMGC_OMS*/sysman/emoms.log or emoms.trc files. This document lists known error messages that are logged to that file and provides a solution.
