RUEI: Idle time between logout and login in the same browser session for an ADF Application is included under Browser Time within the page load time (Doc ID 2472143.1)

Last updated on FEBRUARY 20, 2019

Applies to:

APM - Application Performance Management - Version 13.2.1.1.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Monitoring an ADF based application in Oracle Real User Experience Insight (RUEI).

Consider the following usecase:

1. Open a browser and login to ADF based application.
2. Browse a few pages and then logout.
3. Keep  the browser idle for certain duration. Eg: 60 seconds.
4. Login again to the ADF application.

These are two distinct sessions.

Now, when checking these sessions in the Browse Data section of the RUEI console, they are tracked as two sessions.
However for the second session, the page loading time includes the browser idle time between the logout and login as well, which is incorrect.
