Metric Evaluation Error For OTD Instance Target (Doc ID 2478261.1)

You see an error when monitoring the Oracle Traffic Director (OTD) Instance Target in the EM Console:

Metric evaluation error start - Received an exception when evaluating sev_eval_proc for:Target name = /NP_x86POTD/x86npotd, metric_name = Response, metric_column = Status; Error msg = Target encountered metric erros; at least one member in in metric error

You will also see the following error when trying to manually collect he Response metric (*):

$ ./emctl getmetric agent '/NP_x86POTD/x86npotd/<hostname>',oracle_otd_instance,Response

EMD getmetric error: SNMP target is not responding within the timeout value. Reason could be that target SNMP agent may not be running or target is not configured properly

(*) You can obtain the exact target name by issuing the following command from the ./agent_inst/bin directory in the <AGENT_HOME> on the OTD

$ ./emctl config agent listtargets
