EM13c -> Resyncing Cache Node Fails With " Output too large " (Doc ID 2482083.1)

Last updated on SEPTEMBER 30, 2019

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 13.1.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When starting the job to resync our cache Node with the main Software Library on Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c, we got the following as output from the job:

INFO [Wed Jan 18 10:36:18 CET 2017]Validating input parameters ...
INFO [Wed Jan 18 10:36:18 CET 2017]Processing cache node resynchronize request for [1] ...

INFO [Wed Jan 18 10:36:18 CET 2017]resynchronize running on SLA
ERROR [Wed Jan 18 10:36:21 CET 2017]: Error while resynchronizing cache node [1]
INFO [Wed Jan 18 10:36:21 CET 2017]No resynchronize currently executing. Starting resynchronize.
error resyncing cache node:Output too large
done

When we have build the cache node, we got the same problem, but we used the following workaround:

Divide the export / import jobs ( export_swlib_cache_files / import_swlib_cache_files) into 5 pieces, so we could avoid the "output too large" issue.

But this workaround is not feasible when trying to resync the Cache Node since it is a pre-defined job into Enterprise Manager.
