Last updated on MARCH 31, 2021

Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

EM 13.2.2.0.0 running specifically in this case with:
EM DB Plugin Bundle Patch 13.2.2.0.171231
Enterprise manager base platform - oms 13.2.0.0.170718 PSU

The Comparison & Drift Management functionality allows the user to compare databases.
The "Rules for Including or Excluding Configuration Items" settings are being populated, however, in the template the exclusions are still showing.

Use Case Example:

Create a template from the default "Database Instance Template""
Selected in the "Rules for Including or Excluding Configuration Items" settings to exclude:
'db_unique_name'
or
'DB_UNIQUE_NAME'

Perform the comparison between 2 similar database instances.
The db_unique_name parameter is still being compared despite the settings to exclude.
