Goal

Fleet Maintenance is a centralized mechanism for Patching/Upgrading of Oracle homes and maintain consistency. This document lists all the options for TNS_ADMIN validation for successful Fleet Maintenance Activity. TNSNAMES.ORA is a SQL*Net configuration file that defines databases addresses for establishing connections to them. This file normally resides in the ORACLE HOME\NETWORK\ADMIN directory, but location can be defined by the TNS_ADMIN environment variable. In database fleet maintenace this configuration are copied over to the parallel Home in various verb as UPDATE_DB,UPDATE_RACDB.
