Symptoms

After Restoring, the Agent is Blocked with: "Agent has Been Blocked due to Bounce Counter Mismatch. If Agent Has Been Restored from a Backup Perform an Agent Resync".

Agent is restarted from a old backup (taken even before OMS upgrade). This is too old agent. On OMS console, the agent shows blocked due to bounce counter mismatch and version shows different. When we check emctl status agent, It shows old configurations for OMS version and agent.

Changes

The agent which is started from backup is pretty old. The backup was taken before OMS upgrade. So the version is mismatching between OMS console and emctl status agent results.
