13.2 EM Fleet migrate_listener Does Not Update the ORACLE_HOME In The New listener.ora File (Doc ID 2626368.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 30, 2022

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager for Oracle Database - Version 13.2.2.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

When using Fleet Maintenance to patch/upgrade targets, and when the source LISTENER is either not running on default PORT# 1521 or is not static listener, then the ORACLE_HOME in the migrated (new) listener.ora file does not have its ORACLE_HOME parameter updated with the new oracle home.

The migrate job output shows it fails to start the migrated listener because of incorrect ORACLE_HOME in the listener.ora file.

The job output looks something like this:

Failed in config command , please check inputsCommand to start listener:/u01/app/oracle/product/12.2.0.1.1901/bin/lsnrctl start <listenername>
