Symptoms

In Enterprise Manager (EM) Cloud Control, when configuring LDAP on OEM server it fails with Error "Failed to validate connection to LDAP server with the specified parameters."

$ emctl config auth oid -ldap_host "<HOSTNAME>.<DOMAIN>" -ldap_port "<LDAP-PORT>" -ldap_principal "uid=<UID VALUE>,ou=people,ou=systems,ou=internal,o=<ORGANIZATION>" -user_base_dn "ou=<USERBASE>,ou=teamMembers,ou=internal,o=<organization>" -group_base_dn "ou=<GROUP NAME>,ou=groups,ou=teamMembers,ou=internal,o=<ORGANIZATION>"
