Symptoms

13.4 Agent install on Linux x86-64 bit fails with the following generic error from the console

Execution of command ABD=/<agent_home>/agent13c; cd /<agent_home>/agent13c/ADATMP_2020-04-30_11-06-01-AM;$ABD/ADATMP_2020-04-30_11-06-01-AM/agentcore.bin -prereqChecker -silent -ignoreSysPrereqs -rscratchPath $ABD/ADATMP_2020-04-30_11-06-01-AM/prereqlogs -entryPoint oracle.sysman.top.agent_Complete -nowait -noconsole -J-DORACLE_HOSTNAME=<OMS_HOSTNAME> -J-DAGENT_PORT=<AGENT_PORT> -J-DALLOW_IPADDRESS=true -J-DAGENT_BASE_DIR=/<agent_home>/agent13c -J-DSTAGE_LOCATION=$ABD/ADATMP_2020-04-30_11-06-01-AM/prereq_stage -J-DUSER_NAME=a-hu83 -J-DRUN_AS=oracle -J-DORACLE_HOME=$ABD/agent_13.4.0.0.0 on host <AGENT_HOSTNAME> Failed

 

You may have selected the wrong platform "Linux x86-64" for this host. If so select the correct platform.

You may have specified a non writable location for the environment variable TMP/TEMP in your shell initialization script($HOME/.cshrc, $HOME/.bashrc etc). Ensure that this location is writable.
