Applies to:

Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

OEM 13.2.0.0.180417 and DBPlugin version 13.2.2.0.0
Target DB RDBMS version 11.2.0.4

Using myFunction(%BLOB_COLUMN%) for Data Masking SQL expression in EM13c. It
failed with error : "Format Parameters - The SQL Expression is invalid. Specify substitution columns within percent signs, for example %EMPID% where EMPID is the column name. Substitution columns must exist in the masked table"

Test case:
create table t4(a blob,b number);
insert into t4 (a,b) values('abc',2);
create or replace function myfunc(in_blob blob) return blob as
begin
return in_blob;
end;
/

select myfunc(a) from t4 where b=2;
MYFUNC(A)
----------------------------------------
0ABC

This works in sql*plus, but this function won't work in Data Masking.
