Last updated on JULY 11, 2021

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 13.1.0.0.0 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

Creating a full blackout on a group consisting of many target types (or only 'hosts'), using emcli verb '-propagate_targets' or '-full_blackout_all_hosts' will not put all the targets on host under blackout. The blackout is created on only direct members of the group. If the group includes hosts, the targets on such hosts are not included in blackout.

For example, consider below emcli command,

In above command, if the group '<Group Name>' contains any host targets, the blackout will be created only on those particular host targets, but not on other targets on those hosts.
