Purpose

Fleet Maintenance is a centralized mechanism for Patching/Upgrading of Oracle homes and maintain consistency. Fleet Maintenance allows Enterprise Manager (EM) Cloud Control administrators to patch database, Oracle Restart or Grid Infrastructure with minimal downtime.Fleet maintenance uses the Out of Place Patching option. Also this can be done only via emcli verb and there is no GUI option available.

 Steps outlined in this document are applicable for Patching or upgrading the standalone databases with dataguard enabled
