Symptoms

OMS fails to start with the following error:

$ emctl start oms

Starting Oracle Management Server...
WebTier Could Not Be Started.
Error Occurred: WebTier Could Not Be Started.
Please check /u01/app/oracle/OMS/gc_inst/em/EMGC_OMS1/sysman/log/emctl.log for error details

$../gc_inst/user_projects/domains/GCDomain/system_components/OHS/ohs_nm.log reports the following errors:

<AH00526: Syntax error on line 502 of /u01/app/oracle/OMS/gc_inst/user_projects/domains/GCDomain/config/fmwconfig/components/OHS/instances/ohs1/httpd.conf:>
