13c: Applying WLS Stack Bundle Patch on the OMS Middleware Home Fails With Error: jdk should not be residing inside the ORACLE_HOME (Doc ID 2797320.1)

Symptoms

Applying the WLS SPB (Stack Patch Bundle) on the OMS Oracle Home fails with the error:

$ ./spbat.sh -phase apply -oracle_home $ORACLE_HOME
SPBAT Release Version: 1.3.0
The current patching user oracle matches with the product install user oracle
-log_dir value is not set, defaulting it to <PATCH_LOC>/WLS_SPB_12.2.1.3.210716/tools/spbat/generic/SPBAT/logs
SPBAT Phase - apply is executing ...
The consolidated SPBAT execution logs have been written to: <PATCH_LOC>/WLS_SPB_12.2.1.3.210716/tools/spbat/generic/SPBAT/logs/newoms_spb_apply_2021-08-04_19-17-18/orchestration/logs/spbat_2021-08-04_19-17-18.out
