EM13c : Agent Side Compliance Rule Using File Type Config Extension Can't Locate Violations (Doc ID 2805524.1)

Last updated on OCTOBER 04, 2021

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

In Enterprise Manager (EM) Cloud Control, Compliance Standard was created with an agent side rule. This rule uses a file type configuration extension(CE). The file is a unix shell script which runs a SQL. Depending on the SQL output the script either return VIOLATION or return 0 i.e. success or No violation found.

Although the CE deploys successfully however the compliance standard can't parse the script output to decide if the rule has succeeded or found violation. It always return success no matter what is the output of script (success, failure or script error).

This is breaking the compliance check functionality completely.
