Goal

At times, there are requirements to prevent agent from auto startup or to prevent agent upload at the time of installation. This might be due to dependency on different teams such as, root credentials to run root.sh, server access to install agent etc.

The sample use case is, for example, customer required to install 100+ agents but depends on other team to execute root.sh. So they don't want any data to be uploaded to OMS/Repository DB until their setup is fully ready with all agent installations and execution of root.sh on each agent. So the best way here is to install agent and prevent it from auto startup at the time of installation. It can be started later anytime once setup is ready.
