EM 13c: Editing a Configuration Extension Fails with an Error: Failed to submit redeployment job. (Doc ID 2823647.1)

Symptoms

From EM 13c Console, unable to update/modify a Configuration Extension.

Saving the changes gives the following error:

Failed to submit redeployment job.

../gc_inst/em/EMGC_OMS1/sysman/log/emoms.trc file reports following errors:

021-11-08 11:32:02,119 [[ACTIVE] ExecuteThread: '5' for queue: 'weblogic.kernel.Default (self-tuning)'] ERROR deployment.CCSMEAgentInteractionHandler logp.251 - Failed to submit a custom configuration deployment job for target type "oracle_database" and custom configuration "<CE_NAME>".
