Details

 The Oracle Site Guard feature which works on top of Enterprise Manager Cloud Control is being deprecated. Oracle Site Guard is licensed with additional packs as below, there will not be any impact to other features in those packs.

• Oracle Database Lifecycle Management Pack
• Oracle WebLogic Server Management Pack Enterprise edition
• Oracle Configuration Management Pack for Applications
• Oracle WebLogic Continuous Availability Pack

Oracle Site Guard Support Details:

Currently supported Oracle Enterprise Manager versions are 13.4 and 13.5.  Oracle Site Guard will be supported as long as Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.4 and 13.5 support is available.  See support details below:

Oracle Site Guard Deprecation Details:

Oracle Site Guard deprecation was announced in June 2022. 

1. Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.5 - All Site Guard functionality has been removed from 13.5 RU18.
2. Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.4 – RU20 was the terminal RU for 13.4, released in April 2023. Considering the support window for 13.4 is already over, Site Guard functionality will remain available in RU20 or before

Options for existing Oracle Site Guard Customers:

Customers can continue to use Site Guard by remaining on the Oracle Enterprise Manager 13.4 or 13.5 RUs released on or before June 2023.

Customers will get support from Oracle as per Lifetime Support Policy (LSP) and error correction policy guidelines <Document 209768.1>

Customers who manage multiple resources (for example Oracle Exadata, Oracle Private Cloud Appliance, Oracle ZFS, Oracle Enterprise Applications) with Enterprise Manager Cloud Control can run multiple instances of OEM, with an instance of OEM, as stated above, dedicated for Site Guard.
