Purpose

Enterprise Manager allows the users to create Blackouts against the targets being monitored, when there is a pre-scheduled maintenance activity to be performed. The blackout allows the EM (OMS / Agent) to stop monitoring the target till the maintenance activity is being done.

Sometimes, there could be problems with the creation, scheduling, stopping of this blackout.
The purpose of this document is to show how EM DiagKit can be used to gather more data to investigate any problems with the blackouts.
