Purpose

Fleet Maintenance is a centralized mechanism for Patching/Upgrading of oracle homes and maintain consistency. Fleet maintenance allows Enterprise manager (EM) cloud control administrators to patch database, Oracle Restart or Grid Infrastructure with minimal downtime. Fleet maintenance uses the Out of Place Patching option.

Scope

 Steps outlined in this document are applicable for Upgrading the Databases using graphical user interface from Oracle Enterprise Manager with Autoupgrade option.
