EM13c: Connector Configuration Fails with Certificate Error - PKIX Path Building When There Is A Proxy in The Configuration (Doc ID 3032996.1)

Symptoms

- Oracle Enterprise Manager Cloud Control(OEM) version 13.5

- Try to configure OEM with PagerDuty connector, and the Test configuration doesn't work as oms log reports below error:

<EM_INSTANCE_BASE>/em/EMGC_OMSn/sysman/log/emoms.trc

Exception when invoke method getTicketoracle.sysman.core.connector.common.exceptions.ConnectorException: Failed to call REST Service for connector 12345678hgfds987654 method getTicket.
Caused by: com.sun.jersey.api.client.ClientHandlerException: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target

- Issue persists even after adding the PagerDuty certificate to  ../gc_inst/em/EMGC_OMS1/sysman/config/b64LocalCertificate.txt file.


- Customer has a proxy with the connector configuration.

- Openssl command works only when proxy is mentioned as a parameter:
