Problem: RepoCA: Grid Control Install Fails At Repository Configuration Assistant With Ora-12545 (Doc ID 306110.1)

Symptoms

During 10.1.0.3 Grid Control installation onto Red Hat ES 3.0, the Repository Configuration
Assistant fails with the following reported error:

Could not connect to
SYS/(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS_LIST=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=HPDEV1)(PORT=1540)))(CONNECT_DATA=(SID=dbat))):
ORA-12545: Connect failed because target host or object does not exist (DBD ERROR:
OCIServerAttach)
Configuration assistant "Enterprise Manager Repository Creation Assistant" failed
