Unable To Add Siebel 21.2 Enterprise Target In OEM 13.5 Using Siebel Monitoring 13.5.1.0.0 Plugin (Doc ID 3064689.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to add Siebel 21.2 enterprise target in OEM 13.5.1.0.0 the following error occurs:

No Enterprise exists with the specified name

In the $AGENT_HOME/agent_inst/sysman/log/oracle.sysman.empa.discovery/siebelremotelogging.trc file the following error is observed:

2024-10-14 13:14:32,185 [main] ERROR emagent.EMGatewayAgent logMsg.247 - vpd.properties is missing
java.io.FileNotFoundException: VPD_MISSING
at oracle.sysman.siebel.management.emagent.discovery.DiscovererBase.getInstallDir(DiscovererBase.java:157)
at oracle.sysman.siebel.management.emagent.discovery.DiscovererBase.getDir(DiscovererBase.java:119)
at oracle.sysman.siebel.management.emagent.discovery.DiscovererBase.getBinDir(DiscovererBase.java:91)
at oracle.sysman.siebel.management.emagent.EMGatewayAgent.generateDescription(EMGatewayAgent.java:162)
at oracle.sysman.siebel.management.emagent.EMGatewayAgent.main(EMGatewayAgent.java:103)
Caused by: java.io.FileNotFoundException: /var/adm/siebel/vpd.properties (No such file or directory)

Steps

1. Login to EM
2. Enter the required parameters to discover Siebel 21.2 enterprise target
3. The above errors are observed

 New Siebel target setup on EM
