Symptoms
When cloning a database in Amazon RDS, the customer follows a process that includes removing the target database, cloning it with a new name, and re-installing the Agent. During this process, deleting the target database from Amazon RDS also removes the associated oracle_database target from the OEM console. Additionally, when the option group is removed from AWS, the agent, oracle_home, and host remain the same. However, since the Agent is installed within the database in an Amazon RDS system, it is decommissioned during this process.
The Agent needs to be reinstalled, and the database target must be rediscovered. If the customer attempts to resync the Agent from the console without rediscovering the database, the resync fails with the error message:
"Error message: Agent has blocked due to bounce counter mismatch. If agent has been restored from backup, perform agent resync"
1.Install the agent on remote machine
2.Check Agent Status from OEM console
3.Un-deploy the agent only from the Remote machine, don't decommission from the OMS
4.Reinstall the agent with silent method
5.At this time agent will be blocked due to plugin mismatch
6.Re-sync from the OMS console
