Problem: AgentCA: 10.2 Agent Install fails with "Failed to allocate port" message in the install log file (Doc ID 394745.1)

Installing the Agent on AIX fails

installActions2006-09-27_08-27-37PM.log shows :

The following configuration scripts need to be executed as the "root" user.
#Root script to run
To execute the configuration scripts:
1. Open a terminal window
2. Log in as "root"
3. Run the scripts
4. Return to this window and click "OK" to continue

INFO: Starting to execute configuration assistants
INFO: Command = oracle.sysman.emcp.agent.AgentPlugIn

Command = oracle.sysman.emcp.agent.AgentPlugIn has failed
Exception : java.lang.Exception: Failed to allocate port = Failed to allocate free Enterprise
Manager Central Console Port from Default Range 1830 to 1849. Please free a port from the Range
and re-try the installation.

INFO: Configuration assistant "Agent Configuration Assistant" failed
