Purpose

This bulletin describes in details how to install an additional Management Service (OMS) in an environment where the repository and the main Management Service are of 10.2.0.4 or higher release.

It gives an example of the installation of an additional OMS documented in:

 Temporary update of the Repository Core Version
 Launch the Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) in noconfig mode to install the 10.2.0.1 binaries
 Update the Repository Core Version back to the original value
 Complete the 10.2.0.1 binaries installation then stop the OMS and Agent services
 Launch the Oracle Universal Installer (OUI) in noconfig mode to install the patchset 10.2.0.4 binaries in the OMS ORACLE_HOME
 Update the OMS XML Configuration Files
 Run the OMS Configuration Assistants for the Base Release 10.2.0.2
 
Restore the OMS XML Configuration Files
 Run the OMS Configuration Assistants for the Release 10.2.0.4
 Patch the newly installed OMS at the same level as all other OMS
 Run the AgentConfiguration Assistants for the Base Release 10.2.0.2
 Ugrade the Grid Control Agent 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.4
 Configure the OMS behind a Server Load Balancer (SLB)
