How to make the JDK in Grid Control / Cloud Control OMS/Agent Home DST compliant using the TZUPDATER tool (Doc ID 553534.1)

Last updated on APRIL 03, 2023

Applies to:

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 10.1.0.2 and later
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Goal

This note provides the generic steps to patch the  JDK in the 10g, 11g and 12c OMS with the "tzupdater" in order to make the java stack aware of new timezone changes.
The same steps are applicable to the JDK in the 12c Agent installation as well (this does not apply to 10g/11g Agents).

Note:
There have been circumstances where the 12c options were used for EM 13c components successfully, so this may be a valid option for the 13c versions, although not all platforms may have been exercised this way.
