Purpose

Enterprise Manager (EM) heavily uses the Job System to perform some important system-related tasks or user-related activities. Jobs are often complex and split into many steps. When a job overall fails, one needs to understand which step in particular failed, and why.

The Enterprise Manager Job User Interface can be used to diagnose a job when directly connected to the console. When it comes to capturing all necessary information in one shot and share it with another person (e.g. when raising a Service Request or a Product Defect) screen shots are not that useful.

The purpose of this document is to show how EM DiagKit can be used to fulfill this task.
