Nullpointer Exception In Adminpars.Jsp While Accessing The AD4J Console Setup tab (Doc ID 565781.1)

In AD4J  Version 1 and Version 2,  you might get the following exception in AD4J console when you login and go to Setup / Console Setup:

Exception in adminpars.jsp null
at _adminpars._jspService(
at oracle.jsp.runtime.HttpJsp.service(
at oracle.jsp.JspServlet.doDispatch(
at oracle.jsp.JspServlet.internalService(
at oracle.jsp.JspServlet.service(
at javax.servlet.http.HttpServlet.service(
at org.apache.jserv.JServConnection.processRequest(


The AD4J Console Setup parameters are populated as follows:

Send Mail = <any value>
Email Prefix for UserName = <empty value>
