(Doc ID 577443.1)

Enterprise Manager Base Platform - Version 10.2.0.4 to 11.1.0.1 [Release 10.2 to 11.1] Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
Purpose:
This document is intended for the Active/Passive, Cold Failover Cluster targets (also known as highly available "HA" targets), which can physically run on multiple nodes, but are only running on a single node at a time.
Starting from 10.2.0.4, such targets can now be monitored by a single Agent running on each of the nodes of the cluster. The HA monitored targets are moved from one monitoring Agent to another via EMCLI in case of a fail-over.
Note: EMCLI relocate_targets function does not work with composite targets such as RAC Clusters and iAS targets.
The associated unpublished <BUG 8568181> emcli relocate_targets does not relocate composite members has a potential workaround, but is still not completed / certified for public consumption.
