This problem can occur on any platform.

After executing the procedure "dbms_resource_manager.switch_consumer_group_for_sess", the resource consumer group doesn't change for the session.

For example :

The resource consumer group for session id "158" is "OTHER_GROUPS"

After executing the following :

SQL> execute dbms_resource_manager.switch_consumer_group_for_sess (session_id => 158, session_serial => 60 ,consumer_group => 'mygroup2');

the resource consumer group for the session is not changed to 'mygroup2"

SQL> select sid, serial#, resource_consumer_group, username, osuser from v$session ses where sid = 158;
