AFTER EMAGENT UPGRADE TO 10.2.0.5 SEEING MULTIPLE ORA-600 [1236] ERRORS WHILE MONITORING PHYSICAL STANDBY

Symptoms

After upgrading the emagent to 10.2.05, and monitoring a target server hosting a Data Guard Standby, the following error messages are observed in the alert log:

ORA-00600: internal error code, arguments: [1236], [kkki.c], [5608], [0x4865E2248], [48], [0], [0], []

The stack trace will look similar to:
ksedmp <- kgeriv <- kgesiv <- ksesic6 <- ksupucg <- opiodr <- ttcpip <- opitsk <- opiino <- opiodr <- opidrv <- sou2o <- opimai_real <- main <- start

The emagent.trc file shows similar issues:
