Symptoms

After performing a successful migration from HPSu 8.5 SP3 to EPM 11.1.1.2 (Windows 2003 OS) using the migration utility (which is shipped with 11.1.1.2), we obtain an incorrect error message when trying to delete the job parameter in a migrated job. This happens with all migrated jobs.

1- After migration, start the services of EPM 11.1.1.2 and log in to Workspace
2- Right-click on a job in Workspace and click Manage Schedules
3- Right-click on a schedule and click Show Parameters
4- Select a job parameter and click delete: the following error is obtained "The selected job parameter can not be deleted due to unknown reason".

The expected error message is "The selected Job Parameter can not be deleted because it is used in the following schedules: <schedule name>". This expected error message is indeed obtained when we create a NEW job/NEW schedule with a NEW job parameter in 11.1.1.2. In other words, it works fine for newly created jobs on the 11.1.1.2 but not for HPSu 8.5 SP3 migrated jobs (on the same environment).

The problem can also be reproduced without migration as follows:

1. Import a BQY Job.
2. Run the imported job and save the job parameter.
3. Schedule the job using the job parameter.
4. Log out and log in as another user (e.g. Global Admin).
5. Try to delete the job parameter as follows:
       i. Right-click on the job in Workspace and click Manage Schedules
ii. Right-click on a schedule and click Show Parameters
iii. Select a job parameter and click delete: the following error is obtained "The selected job parameter can not be deleted due to unknown reason".
