When running a calculation, the application is crashing when the ess00001.pag reaches 1 gig in size. The following errors are in the application log:
A write to file [/home/Hyperion/AnalyticServices/app/appname/dbname/ess00001.pag], from address [0x1831d658] with handle to offset for bytes, failed with error after bytes.
Current size of file [/home/Hyperion/AnalyticServices/app/appname/dbname/ess00001.pag] = octets.
For transaction [<dbname>], the byte Input Transfer Buffer is at address [0x1832a0b0] and the byte Output Transfer Buffer is at address [0x1831d330].
Out of disk space. Cannot create a new [Data]. aborted [adIndNewFile]
- startEssbase.sh script modified to set ulimit settings
- potentially there were no chages so far. However on AIX the default maximum file size used to be 1GB, so this needs to be altered to accommodate for the Essbase Server needs.
